FULTON, Mo. - Westminster volleyball has set the 2019 schedule, looking win its third St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in three years.
The Blue Jays start the season by taking on NAIA national powerhouse Columbia College Aug. 26, before traveling to St. Louis to compete in the Washington University Tournament. Aug. 30-31, Westminster will face competitive nonconference opponenents in North Park, Cornell College, and Hendrix.
The Blue Jays stay on the road to face WashU Sept. 10, and then travel to DePauw University for another weekend tourmament where the Blue Jays take on Elmhurst, Whitman, and Aurora Sept. 13-14.
Westminster opens SLIAC play Sept. 21 at Iowa Wesleyan with neutral match-ups against Eureka and MacMurray. The Blue Jays stay on the road Sept. 25, taking on Fontbonne, and Sept. 28, taking on Spalding and Webster in Jacksonville, Ill.
The rest of the away conference matches include Iowa Wesleyan (Oct. 8), a Greenville quad where Westminster takes on Iowa Wesleyan and Greenville (Oct. 12), Eureka (Oct. 23), Blackburn (Oct. 31), and a quad at Prinipia where the Blue Jays face Principia and MacMurray (Nov. 2).
Westminster finally opens up at home Oct. 3, taking on Webster and remains at home Oct. 5 for a match against Greenville. The rest of the home schedule includes Spalding (Oct. 18), Blackburn (Oct. 19), and a home quad where the Blue Jays host Fontbonne and Principia (Oct. 26).
The SLIAC Tournament is set for Nov. 9.
