FULTON, Mo. - The Westminster volleyball team defeated Blackburn in three sets on Saturday. The Blue Jays have now won six of their last seven games and are 12-7 on the season and 10-2 in conference.
The Blue Jays won a very competitive first set 25-22. Westminster hit .343 and recorded 16 kills in the set.
Westminster won the next two sets 25-21 and 25-15 to win the match 3-0.
Eryka Wanyonyi and Ashley Kistaitis led all players with 12 kills. Wanyonyi also registered 14 digs in the game. Erica Schrader led the Blue Jays with 23 digs. Teresa Becker finished the match with 28 assists, 11 digs and six kills. Becker also recorded two of Westminster's five service aces.
The Blue Jays play again on Wednesday on the road against Eureka.
