Dubuque, IA 2/26/2022- The Westminster men's wrestling team traveled to Iowa this weekend to compete in the NCAA Lower Midwest Regional.

Senior grappler Dalton Landreth (Marshall, MO / Marshall) place competed in the 133-pound weight division and scored five team points. 

In the prelims, Landreth won by pinfall over Trevor Boryla (Augustana College (Illinois)) (Fall) 6:55)

Landreth moved on to round 1 and won by a major decision over Tyler Laudick (Nebraska Wesleyan University) 2-11 (MD 13-4)

Landreth would lose in the quarterfinal to Bryce Parke (Coe College) 11-4 by decision

In the second round of the consolation bracket, Landreth took on Trevor Boryla (Augustana College (Illinois)) lost by decision

Colton Thompson competed in the 149-weight division and scored 2.5 team points.

In the prelims, Thompson won by forfeit over Jonah Siebert (Buena Vista University).

He moved on to round 1 and lost to Tyler Difiore (Luther College) 3-2 won by tech fall (TF-1.5 5:23)

Thompson would lose to David Burgess (Huntingdon College) 21-13 won by pinfall over (Fall 3:27)

Senior Will Harper (Plano, Tex. / Homeschooled) competed in the 165-pound weight division and took on Colby Tool (Central College (Iowa)) in the prelims. Harper would lose by fall (Fall 1:03)

Harper would compete in a second prelim bout against Jakob Slavin (Simpson College) and lost by pinfall. (Fall 2:17)

Chris Corley (Tipton, MO / Tipton) competed in the 184-weight division.

Corley took on Kyle Briggs (Wartburg College) in round 1 and would lose by pinfall. (Fall 0:33)

In the consolation bracket, Corley faced off against Jacob Badger (Augustana College (Illinois)) and lost by pinfall. (Fall 1:12)
