19 Westminster Student-Athletes Inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society

The Westminster athletic department would like to announce the inducted of 19 student-athletes into the Chi Alpha Sigma Missouri Alpha Chapter at Westminster College. Official plans for a possible induction ceremony and the distribution of certificates will be communicated to the student-athletes once they are finalized.

Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, recognizes student-athletes who earn a varsity letter while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA throughout their junior or senior years. Transfer students who are in their second year of eligibility at Westminster are also eligible for induction. The membership is based on the student-athlete’s outstanding scholarship, their earned athletic letter, and their excellent character and citizenship. Westminster joined the National College Athlete Honor Society in 2002. The National College Athlete Honor Society was founded at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana on May 17, 1996, as a student-athlete honor society for the recognition of high academic achievers and sport letter winners at the collegiate level. With the induction of this class, Westminster currently has 314 members in the Missouri Alpha Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma.
